Introduction

This site is intended as an extension of the thank you notes we sent out to the folks who contributed to our honeymoon fund after our July 16, 2016 wedding.  Your generous gifts allowed us to take the trip of a lifetime and we wanted to share with you the travelogue we kept and the photos we snapped as another way to say thank you.

While we'd had our sights set on Peru leading up to our wedding, we later decided that the risks associated with the Zika virus could negatively impact our desired timeline for starting a family.

After much research and consideration, we decided to go to Turkey.  While recent events and headlines in the news gave us some measure of pause, Turkey had all of the elements we'd been looking for in our ideal trip: culture, history, food, natural wonders, sunny weather and beaches, etc.

So, we booked it and didn't look back--and we did not regret it.  Wow.  What a beautiful country full of awesome people and delicious food.

Again, it was all of your generous gifts which allowed us to take this trip of a lifetime.  We cannot thank you enough.  Hopefully you enjoy the travelogue and the photos.
